ORGANISED BY AVRO YACHTING LTD IN ASSOCIATION WITH BRITANNIA EVENTS IN SUPPORT OF THE NOT FORGOTTEN
A fantastic event which offers an exciting opportunity to network with industry peers while promoting your brand amongst a relevant audience. Enjoy a team building activity and have a fun day, sailing in the UK’s premier sailing area, the Solent and, more importantly we will be raising money for the charity, THE NOT FORGOTTEN and The Submarine Family.
Whether you choose to bring a team from head office, or captivate key clients or business partners, a day on a yacht is an unrivalled way to build stronger working relationships. Combine that with networking drinks and a BBQ at the nearby Royal Southern Yacht Club – and the result is an exciting and productive event!
You and your invited team will sail together on a premium sailing yacht, under the guidance of a professional skipper – so don’t worry, no previous sailing experience is required.

THE REGINALD FESSENDEN CHALLENGE
You and your guests will arrive in Port Hamble Marina and enjoy a fantastic evening hosted by AVRO Yachting and Britannia Corporate Events to raise funds to support the amazing work of the charities that the event supports.
Established in 1920, THE NOT FORGOTTEN provide events for wounded serving personnel and disabled veterans, which improve physical and mental health, address isolation and loneliness, and promote a sense of community and balance, enabling beneficiaries to live a normal, if not better life.
The evening will start with a drinks reception followed by dinner with fundraising activities. The bar will remain open ’til late but don’t drink too much, you will have a busy day on Wednesday!
The next morning, after breakfast in Banana Wharf you will head out on the Solent for race training and then the all important racing.
There will be two races in the morning, followed by a short break for lunch after which there will be two more races to decide the event champion.
The yachts will then head back in to Port Hamble Marina for the prize giving. The team with the least points will raise The Reginald Fessenden Challenge trophy.
We hope all those who have competed will return in 2025 to support these fantastic causes.

Each team on a Beneteau Oceanis 37 will also have a professional skipper on board to show you the ropes and oversee safety. The skippers are familiar with coaching inexperienced teams, so don’t worry – they’ll soon have you working as a slick racing team!
