In today’s fast paced working environment, it is essential that your team are working together in the most efficient way possible. Teams that know each other feel more inclined to support each other, to help each other out and pull together to excel.
A sailing day is a fantastic, fun and memorable day out of the office that your team will remember for years to come. Your team will learn new skills and be challenged to step out of their comfort zone.
With no experience needed, a sailing day is a great leveller and creates a natural environment to get your team working together. Our racing yachts are designed to be sailed by a team, so everyone will need to interact just to get the boat moving!
By the end of the day your team will be able to sail a performance racing yacht together, and as they step off the yacht they will be buzzing with satisfaction and exhilarated at having achieved so much together in such a short space of time.
In a business turnaround situation it is vital to get the leadership team working together quickly, this was time well spent and we learnt more about each other in 1 day than the previous 2 months.

It is important that your sailing day meets your objectives, so once you make contact with Britannia, one of our event managers will work with you to ensure that the itinerary and format work for you, so you get the very best from your day.
Whilst the emphasis of the day is FUN, Britannia takes safety very seriously and your day will start with a thorough boat familiarisation from your skipper, so you can feel confident and relaxed during your day.
Once settled on board you and your team will be fully involved in the sailing – taking the helm, setting the sails, tacking and gybing. A team building day with Britannia is all about involvement.
For small groups (10 or less) you can spend the day together on a single yacht, learning the ropes and enjoying a day on the water. You can choose to enjoy a packed lunch on board, or stop ashore in the historic sailing town of Cowes, Isle of Wight.
For larger groups (More than 10) your group will split across two or more teams, with each team on an identical yacht. In the afternoon, consider opting for some friendly racing – to pit the teams against each other, and add a competitive element to the day!
Whichever option you choose, you can be sure that such a memorable day will be talked about long after the sailing has finished.
Groups from 4-400
Whatever your group size Britannia can help. For small groups (up to 10 people) you can enjoy sailing on a single yacht. As well as learning the ropes, Britannia can offer Strategy or Cluedo games which add an extra element of fun.
For larger groups with more than one yacht, Britannia will arrange some friendly racing between your teams.
We can arrange up to 43 yachts to be on the water at the same time!
