Dream Yacht Charter announce official sponsorship for the 2021 Legal Cup

Britannia’s worldwide sailing partner, Dream Yacht Charter, have confirmed they will stand as official sponsors for this year’s Legal Cup regatta, taking place in September.

The global company who sail in 60+ global destinations including the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Pacific and Indian Oceans, will support the event for the second year in a row. In addition to yacht charters, DYC also offer a range of yacht ownership programmes so customers can enjoy all of the benefits of owning a yacht without any of the costs that are traditionally associated with it and choose from multiple ownership plans returning up to 9% annually.

Celebrating 30 years of team building in the legal industry

The Legal Cup, now in its 30th year, is a dedicated regatta event for those working within the legal industry, from clients to barristers, offering an excellent opportunity for networking, team building and hospitality.

Earlier this year, we announced that Hampshire based Oarsome Chance would be the official charity partner for 2021, mirroring Dream Yacht Charter, who introduced the not-for-profit organisation to their list of partners in 2019.

An out of this world gala dinner

As well as two days worth of exciting sailing out of the Solent, the Legal Cup hosts a spectacularly themed gala dinner which is held on the Saturday night of the event at Cowes Yacht Haven and includes dinner, dancing and fundraising – this year’s theme has yet to be announced but if history tells us anything, we know it’ll be exciting!

This year, in homage to their existing partnership with Oarsome Chance, Dream Yacht Charter have pledged to offer a seven-night by the cabin yacht charter to the BVIs. The charter will be auctioned during the gala evening, with all funds raised going to the charity. The auction will also see pieces donated by brand ambassador, Alex Thomson, and existing Britannia partners UltraSun and Salcombe Gin.

Bringing people together while raising money for charity

Speaking about the sponsorship, Aimee Barnes, Marketing Manager for Britannia Events said, “We are absolutely delighted to have Dream Yacht Charter as sponsors of this year’s Legal Cup and are looking forward to welcoming some of their customers over to Britannia to hopefully take part in some of our future events.”

In addition to donating prizes for the event’s auction, Dream have also announced that all those taking part in the Legal Cup regatta this year will be entitled to receive an exclusive 5% discount on all worldwide charters booked through DYC in 2021.
